Farming, Sculptures and Mini Golf
We went to Jia's favorite place this morning -
Gale Woods Farm. The girls were excited to collect eggs, climb trees,
pick veggies and most of all pet tons and tons of lambs!
Then we went to
Big Stone Mini Golf and Sculpture Garden.
We enjoyed the golf, but the
girls especially loved feeding the goats there. Willa now has grand
plans for the farm she'll have when she grows up!

Piano Recital
Jia did a terrific job at her piano recital today! She practiced so hard and the song was beautiful. She played Symphony No. 94 by Haydn.

Performances
We had two school concerts during the day. Jia's grade performed
at school at 8:30 am and Willa's was at 12:30 am. Willa was an
announcer and did so well! Later, the art teacher told us she cried
after Willa's announcement because "my baby did such a good job!" They
have such wonderful teachers.
That night, to celebrate Taiwanese American Heritage Week, the girls stayed up late tonight to see Takao Run, a group that mixes contemporary pop and traditional Taiwanese music.
A fun time!

Mother's Day
What a wonderful Mother's Day. We first had brunch
with family at Pizza Luce. Then we did a long bike ride along Minnehaha Creek. We stopped to
play at a park, and Jia sat on my lap on the swings. I love that she can still do this. Finally, we trained Peanut on her backyard obstacle course!
Happy Mother's Day!

Locks of Love
Jia has always been reluctant to trim her
hair, so we are especially proud of her decision to cut it off for Locks
of Love! She said it makes her feel good inside and she is thrilled
with her new cut!

Festival of Nations
Jia and Willa were honored to dance on behalf of the country of Taiwan
at the Festival of Nations today! They wore a beautiful costume made of
Hakka fabric, which is extra special because Willa is Hakka. They
practiced for months, made some terrific new friends, and did a
fantastic job! We could not be more proud of them!
We had a great time eating and shopping afterward at the Festival as well!

Glasses
Jia has a new look! She says everything is brighter and clearer. We are thankful for school screenings!
