Back to school!

4th and 7th!

7th grade sass:

Jia: "Mom, please don't ask me not to roll my eyes at you. I really can't control it. It's just something that happens when you're ridiculously embarrassing or annoying."

Fifteen!

On this day, 15 years ago I married my love! What a ride! I am so glad we are on it together.

Willa's Hair

Willa has been trying to grow her hair long for YEARS, so I'm especially proud of her decision to donate it!

Willo's wool

We are all beyond excited to have acquired the softest wool ever from Willa's llama, Willo! My plan is to knit it into scarves for the girls - once I learn how. We bought it all and the farm included two pretty pictures of Willo with our purchase.

Montréal

I went to Montreal for work and then Joe joined me for my birthday and our 15 year anniversary trip!

A few snaps from non-meeting moments.

We had dinner at Cirque Eloize and watched some amazing performances!

July 28: Quartier des spectacles: Musée d'art contemporain, flower strewn open air cafes, pop up performances, projected street art, an abundance of food trucks.

Parc due Mont-Royal:

Canal Lounge for my birthday on July 29: All aboard the coolest bar ever.

July 30: Food tour in the trendy Mile End area (fave band Arcade Fire started there), amazing dinner at LOV (Local-Organic-Vegetarian!), strolling through Old Town.

July 31: Basilica (where the architect converted to Catholicism upon completion), innovative Pointe-à-Callière Museum of archaeology, L'Arrivage Bistro (great views and fancy food), wishing for more wall space for the art we want to buy, and ZIPLINING!

Reflections on Montréal:
No one jaywalks
The manbuns are tiny
Street art and free concerts surround you
Even the money is beautiful
Jia is going to McGill. (Shhh, she doesn’t know it yet.)
