April Fools Day!
Two unsuspecting girls and their sleepover pals will wake up tomorrow to
a breakfast of tootsie rolls, suckers, juice, and donuts (or possibly
carrots, broccoli, jello, and apples with strawberry cream cheese). I'm
sure they will also enjoy stepping on the bubble wrap hidden under the
bath mats. Happy April Fools' Day!

Firefighter's Museum
My uncle was a fire buff who collected a massive amount of fire
department memorabilia during his short life. He bequeathed his
collection to the local Firefighter's Museum. It is now housed in a
library which is named after him - the Duane Troxel Memorial Library. We
visited it today and the girls loved learning more about their
great-uncle and playing on the fire trucks!

Mixed Blood: Safe at Home
We saw Mixed Blood Theatre's "Safe at Home," a baseball thriller which
explored the topics of immigration and race while we walked through nine
innings (scenes) at the Saints stadium - fantastic production!

Refugee Welcome
We welcomed new immigrant families with lunch, crafts and legos at the International Institute. Willa's impromptu gymnastics class was a huge hit with the active little
boy crowd!

Milkjam
Eating scoops of Notorious R.B.G., Rosa Parks, and J.K. Rowling (and
celebrating surviving a triple dose of the stomach flu while Joe was out
of town).
