Arizona Days 5-6: Part 1

After Joe finished his conference in Scottsdale, we drove to the gorgeous home of my aunt and uncle, Sandy and Jim, in Prescott. The girls loved climbing on the boulders in their backyard and at Watson Lake today (and giving me lots of near heart attacks)!

Arizona Day 3

Today we visited the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center and I can't say enough good things about it! They rescue wild animals and are able to rehabilitate and release them back into the wild at a rate of 91%! We met with the sanctuary's permanent residents today. Big lesson of the day: Never buy wild animals online or take them from their habitats! (We, of course, know this but apparently many people do not!) The center also provides refuge for Mexican gray wolves - a very endangered species. The center is almost entirely volunteer-run and in a beautiful desert setting. Visit if you are in the area!

Taliesin West: Frank Lloyd Wright was a genius - and many other things too.
