Kids on Broadway

Jia is in Kids on Broadway at school this year and her performances start tomorrow! She has been practicing very hard for her role of Ancestor Li in Mulan. We are so proud of her!

Exciting Candle

We celebrated my mom's birthday and decorated their tree today.

The singing, spinning birthday candle (which included a page of warnings and recommended first watching a how-to video on avoiding being burned) was titled "Exciting Candle" and that it was.

Student of the Month

Tonight, Willa decided to dress up as a Nutcracker snowflake to put our bear angel on the tree. She was also a Student of the Month this morning. Her teacher said, "Willa is an extremely kind and caring student. She is a good worker and always wants to do her best in everything she does. She is helpful and creative as well. Willa is a leader by example. She shows others how to be a respectful member of the classroom. Incredible work, Willa!" We are so proud of her (but will pass on the bumper sticker)!

A Las Vegas Thanksgiving - Day Four

Highlights of the day: 1) The girls having a blast swimming in 45 degree weather; 2) Exploring the indoor canal at the Venetian; 3) Getting front row seats at the Mac King Comedy Magic Show because Joe tipped the maitre d'; 4) After dragging Jia to the magic show, Jia became a huge Mac King fan and bought his magic kit; and 5) Experiencing Joe's family tradition of Swedish meatballs.
