True North Basecamp

We call it "modern rustic glamping" and it's our home for the weekend. So far there has been lots of exploring, painting with berries, a dinner of roasted veggies and dogs over the fire, s'mores and toasted Starburst, a beautiful sunset, lightning bug hide-n-seek, glowstick tag and stargazing. Looking forward to the rest of the weekend!

Day Two: Fish, bike, paddle. Repeat.

Jia tossed in a line just once today using the tiny kid pole and instantly caught this bass! It was feisty and did not want to stay in Joe's hands. He tried to throw it back into the water and it flipped into Willa's face instead!

Cedar Ave Bridge

Joe and I used to love hiking and biking around the Cedar Avenue Bridge in the Minnesota River Valley. After 14 years of renovation, the bridge just reopened, so we visited today (along with everyone else in the south metro). It was lovely!
