Dumpling - A Short Film

We are excited that Jia will be playing the lead role in a film! It's an independent, grant-funded, short film which tells the story of the Director's experience immigrating from China at the age of 14 to a white, rural American town. In response to the casting call, Jia sent a note explaining why she thought the project was meaningful along with some selfies - all on a whim as she has no acting experience. Then came the request for video clips, then we met the Director and Cinematographer for dinner, and then she had a screen test with the other candidates for the role. She is honored the Director chose her to tell her story and we look forward to seeing it come to life!

Sanibel, Part 4: Ding Darling and CROW

Today was mostly about animals: Watching dolphins and manatees, learning about Ding Darling Refuge inhabitants, and checking up on injured rescues at Sanibel's Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife. Today was also about amusing attempts to paddleboard on a windy wavy sea and key lime pie!
