- Our built-in bookcase really does look like a ladder.
- If you pull out the few kitchen drawers which aren't babyproofed (because they're filled with tupperware and other kid-friendly stuff), and you adjust them just-so, they do make nice steps so you can climb up to stand on the kitchen counter.
- Those upper bathroom cabinets? Easy access if you climb up to stand on the toilet (then you can open them while saying, "I need medicine!").

Everything is climbable
Is climbable a word? I'm not sure, but it is a good descriptor for our kiddo's favorite thing to do. We're discovering all sorts of things about our house thanks to her.

Our kitchen drawers are baby-proofed. Our drawer handles are horizontal...she learned to hook her toes in the handles and climb on the cabinets. Was Jia born in the year of the monkey??
LOL! The year of the monkey!!!! Too funny!!!
I had a climber too, and if it helps at all... she survived that stage, and it IS a stage thankfully!!! :)

Oh, it gets even better -- when they start taking chairs and moving them around to areas they can't (and aren't supposed to)reach. But somehow, they just know what is off limits (I hope), because Anabelle seems to only try these stunts when I am around (I hope).
Such talent! I love the "I need medicine" comment. :)
