This week, Jia had toad camp at a local nature center. The nice teachers included Willa for some of it as well. It was fantastic!
Here is Jia with her "frog spawn" art.
They made a "toad habitat" and then everybody went on a toad hunt.
Willa was an expert toad finder! She found five of them!
Believe it or not, there are 11 toads in this habitat. Talk about camouflage!
The teachers caught bugs in nets and the kids collected them. The kids then served them for lunch to a large, hungry frog. It was quite a dramatic finale to the class!

Lastly, I have to share the girls' birthday plans for me. They cut out a bunch of hearts, drew pictures on some and turned a couple into cards. Willa's card had pictures of her crib, mattress, book shelf, the bathtub, our house, a boat, her blanket, Jia as a baby, Willa as a baby, and both of them on our swingset. She had Joe write, "Every day, I clean up with Mama and every night I clean up my books with Mama. I love you Mama." (Can you tell we've been focusing on cleaning up lately?)
On her card, Jia wrote, "I love you over the hill, past the lane, up to outer space!" My girls make me smile.

Your girls make me smile too. Happy Birthday!
Everything sounds like fun!
There really aren't many things cuter than little girls in ballet class : ) And how fun, the toad class (what nature center?) and your bday cards!!
Where is Jis taking ballet? Gotta love a little girl in a tutu!
Your little girls are just tooooo sweet! :o) Happy Birthday!
Love the tutu and the frog camp, super cool! Haley would be jealous of frog camp and Mia would be jealous of ballet camp!
Most of all I love the cards they made for you, how sweet!! Did Joe come up with that? If so, he really needs to talk to Kevin. I mean, Kevin tries (he does the usual homemade stuff that a mommy loves) but that card is just awesome!!
