We started the day with some presents:
We also had a family birthday party, where she received a special gift from her cousin:
And shared an ice cream cake with Great-Grandma Marguerite who has a birthday a couple of days before Jia:
But the biggest moment of the day was when we surprised her with what she's wanted for a very long time...pierced ears!
She also received a butterfly-shaped earring holder and a ton of earrings to go with it. I gave her a pair of my earrings and matching necklace as well. This made for one very happy girl! We are so lucky to have you sweet Jia!

How is it that these babies have turned 8? She looks very happy to have her pierced ears (I won't want to show this post to XX!) and I'm especially relieved to read no crisis occurred on her day!
The party looked like lots of fun, too!
