She can get around quite well already by rolling and scooting, especially backward. In fact, the other day we were all playing in the basement when I ran upstairs to get something. When I returned I panicked because I couldn't immediately see Willa. She wasn't anywhere near where she had been sitting playing. I asked Jia, "Where is Willa?" Jia said, "Under the couch." And so she was.

After I arrived Willa thought it would be a good thing to try to hide completely under the couch.

Jia later thought she needed to do that too. With her banana.

We were eating the other day and I went into the kitchen. Willa started to fuss and I heard Jia say, "It's okay, Willa. Mama always comes back." I'm just astounded by how sweet she is to her! She takes her big sister role very seriously. In fact, I recently heard Jia remark, "I can do it! I'm a big sister now!"
Tonight Jia kept running around Willa and both girls were shrieking with laughter. It was simply wonderful.
Here's another of Jia with our cat Harry - just because it's so cute.
I had to laugh because a good friend just said, "It's your birthday next Tuesday. You turn 35." Yep. I had sort of forgotten. I did tell Joe earlier about a metal water bottle I wanted for my birthday (how boring is THAT?) but then I forgot about my birthday, and I forgot my age. But that is what friends are for, right? This same friend just treated me to an awesome outdoor zydeco concert though. It was the first time I'd been truly "out out" in over two years. Nice!

Well, happy birthday!
Willa is adorable! Jia is a whiz and a cutie pie! Wow - sounds like you are all just laughing all the time :-)
Happy Birthday to you on Tuesday Jane!! ope you have a wonderful day whatever you do!
The pictures of the girls are as adorable as always! I can't wait to have another little person in our house and I can only hope that Sophie is as good of a big sister as Jia! Have a wonderful weekend!
SO beautiful!
I've been looking at metal water bottles, too. And, hey. they may be boring, but it is SUCH a great gift because who really wants to spend $25 on a water bottle for themselves?! I'm checking out the Siggs and the Kleen Kanteens. Amazon has good prices, especially if you pick on with free super saver shipping.

I think the top one looks like boot camp at your house. I think it looks like Willa is doing push ups. :-)
How funny that you couldn't find her and she was under the couch. Glad big sis Jia helped you find her. Happy early birthday!!
