Your tourism money helps protect the endangered gorillas, brings jobs to locals (if you are a very good local tea picker, you can make $2/day, but if you are a porter for a gorilla tracker you can make $15-$40/day), better roads, better schools, a hospital, and more to a very impoverished area.
