Uganda: Ride 4 A Woman

Today we flew to the remote Bwindi Impenetrable Forest where we visited Ride 4 A Woman, a nonprofit which empowers local women by providing them with job skills, micro loans, clean water and more. Evelyn, the woman who started the nonprofit, is an amazing visionary who used her life experiences as motivation to pursue change so that others did not have to grow up as she did. In a touching ceremony, we dedicated the cottage we had built on-site there to support domestic violence victims in honor of our past Academy president, who was another tireless advocate for women. Kudos to all the women who raise up other women.
