During the brief moment that I helped Jia put her stuff in her cubby, Willa managed to undo her straps and stand on top of her stroller to gain access to the classroom snacks. That was at drop off. At pick up, I stopped for a moment outside the classroom and Willa instantly ripped some decorations off the class display board. Thankfully, I am carpooling with another mom who has a little one and we'll trade off so we can keep the little ones home.

School update: I wrote the above post a few days ago and didn't get a chance to post it until now. I'll provide a little update on how things are going. On her second day, Jia said some boys were mean to her on the playground. I think they were from a different class and it didn't seem to bother her too much, but she told them they should "go somewhere else and think about being nice!" And they did! I told her I was proud of her for standing up for herself.
Yesterday she came home and said, "I played with my new friends today! Turns out that Libby wants to play with me! I played with her and Anna!" I'm glad she's making some new friends!

So glad Jia is enjoying school this year! Having a class full of boys will certainly bring the girls closer together :-) I'm happy she has made friends and that she is standing up for herself! I like her quote - think I'll save that one for Eiley.
Great idea about carpooling and keeping little ones home ;-)
Very cute. Will Jia start kindergarten next year or the one after? I know her birthday is right on the edge.
Very cute. School is fun.
I am going private with my blog - if you want to following jet over and there is a moderated post to put your email...(won't show up to the public). I will then include you.
Glad to see all is well on your end. Girls are sweet as ever

Ha ha ha ha ha... "go think about being nice." That is hilarious!! You go, Jia!
Way to go Jia! Good sticking up for yourself! This is why we are holding Mia back from Kindergarten, still need to work on the "sticking up" skills:) So great that Jia likes school and is making new friends! Oh Willa, I think she and Haley might have more in common these days:)
What a cutie she is. Glad she is enjoying school and sticking up to those mean boys...maybe they will go think about it.
Had to laugh..when we went to Annslee's classroom for registration Coby was tearing the place apart LOL
GREAT job Jia!!!! Glad to hear that things are going so well!
What a cutie. Bet she will have all those boys doing her bidding. Love her outfit. Congrats on school starting back.
