What do the presents you receive say about you, really?
Joe is the best present shopper around. He gets me exactly what I want even before I realize it. He pays attention to my complaints and purchases accordingly. My complaints have been as follows this year:
When I'm reading on the couch in the evening I cover up with a blanket but my arms still get chilly so I also put on a fleece jacket. (I know, I'm a freeze-baby.)
When we purchase fresh herbs at the farmer's market they last about a day before going limp.
I like to know the weather days in advance and I don't like to watch the news, so I search the internet about our weather a lot.
For Christmas, Joe got me a 5-day digital weather forecaster. It is very detailed, changes color with the temp, and submits up-to-the-minute data about our city's weather via satellite.
He also got me an herb keeper for the fridge.
And a Slanket. It's in a nice chocolate brown so it will blend decently with our decor if left out. And when I wear it, I look like a monk.
So are these gifts an indication that I'm an AARP wannabe and perhaps secretly desire to be cloistered? I'm not sure, but whatever they say about me, at least I'm cozy.

Joe is awesome and so thoughtful! I got a GPS from Kevin but only because every time we get in the car I scream "I need a freakin' GPS!". Just a subtle hint from me:)
Joe is a really thoughtful guy, that's for sure! You'll have to let me know how the herb container works for you -- I have that problems too.
And your slanket, that actually sounds NICE : ) The fact that is matches the decor is only a bonus . . .
I kept telling E and Z to tell Dad how much I would LOVE a massage for Christmas -- and he came through with that! I also got a new vacuum that I am officially in love with (from my parents). We must be getting old : )

A Slanket - is that like a Snuggie? Cuz Jason got me one of those for my birthday and I LOVE it so much I got one for my sister for Christmas. SHE loves it so much that her husband wants one, so I know what to get him for his birthday :-) It's important to have nice warm arms when you are holding a book.
Glad Joe pays close attention and you got lots of good stuff for Christmas :-)
He sure does pay attention!! Now you will know just how amazingly cold it is going to be for the next five days! :)
BTW, are Slankets going after the Snuggie market? I never heard of them.
I hope you drop some really good hints for Christmas 2010. Joe sure does listen.
WOW, way to go Joe!!! That's quite impressive!! Does he do seminars for other husbands who need help in the gift giving department?? LOL ( Alan did very well this year, but usually that's not the case). Glad you got some good useful gifts!!! :-)
