A Merry Christmas Was Had By All

We had a very fun Christmas. Jia asked a LOT of questions about Santa this year. She also wrote him a letter on her own asking for the Disney Princess Barbie collection. She wondered if he received the letter. On Christmas morning she found out that he did!

Santa brought Willa a Baby Stella. She loves that she has a pacifier!

Having fun with the umbrellas Santa left in their stockings.

We made indoor snowmen, something that is becoming a Christmas tradition.

Ready to head to their grandparents' house.

We brought along a snowman cake. We baked the cake in bowls. A fun project with a tasty result!

The girls loved their incredibly elaborate pop-up books.

Santa came to their grandparents' house as well, and superhero outfits were in their stockings. Grandpa decided to model it.

Jia too.
A final Christmas-time activity - devouring our gingerbread houses. Willa got really into it.

Hope you had a merry Christmas too!

I get so many fun ideas from you Jane!! Great idea to eat the gingerbread houses, or at least let them try : ) And the snowman cake is too cute. I am not a baker, so this is probably an obvious question, but what sort of bowl did you use to bake the cakes in? And how did you make the scarf? LOVE that!!!

Looks like good times for everyone : )

Jeremi, I'm not a baker either and the cakes were so easy! I used Pyrex-type bowls. Mine say Duralex. They just take a lot of monitoring.

We used Air Heads taffy for the nose, smile and scarf.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! So glad that Santa brought everyone great toys and books :-) The snowman cake is adorable and we will be trying it!

Glad the weather did not spoil your plans. We made it to our destination with only about 50 minutes of thinking we were going to drive off into the sandhills and not realize we were off the road until it was too late!

The girls look beautiful, as usual!

What happy faces! (As always, but the girls look ready to burst!)

Think we may have to try the snowman cake now that we're in a "no snow zone." No shoveling, but alas, no fun either.
