Taiwan, Day 5: Kenting

We woke up to a bright and sunny day. A combination of tile floors and kids who fall out of bed resulted in this sleeping arrangement:

For breakfast, we went to the resort's huge buffet. It was so much fun to try new foods from bamboo shoots to pickled plum to different types of drinks. Jia tried the charcoal briquette bread (which was apparently sort of chocolatey). Joe tried a snack of whole dried fish and enjoyed it.

We spent more time at the beach and the pool. The girls found many beach treasures.

Jia was all about the hammocks.

Willa was too for a while.

One of the pools had a dragon boat race.

The girls found a ton of hermit crabs and made a home for them (until the crabs started fighting and then they made apartments).

The resort has a hermit crab pen on the grounds as well.

We walked into town for lunch and Joe snapped this photo of a thoughtful Willa.

I also tried archery for the first time. There are so many things to do here! We have enjoyed our stay at the beach. Back to Taipei tomorrow!
